Last week I bribed the hubby to take me to The Home Depot so I could put together a little succulent pot for my new kitchen window. I've been wanting to have one for the window since we moved in, but we had a couple things going on.
I know it's winter, and succulents aren't really "winter" but I need a little green in my life in these colder months.
I'm not exactly what you would call a "green thumb". Although, I am not really sure what happened since I come from a long line of gardeners and farmers. Sorry Grandpa. Anyhoo, succulents are great for me because they are very low-matinence. They don't have to be watered every day and they can survive pretty much anything.
We found the pot at The Home Depot, and got a small bag of potting soil along with the five different succulent plants. I decided to have my 4-year-old help me pot them (besides the Cactus, we had a little lesson on that). He loves digging in the dirt, so I figured why not! It was a great little project for us to do together outside while the weather is decent. And he LOVED it.
What are you doing to add some green to your space this winter? Share some of your ideas in the comments below! I'd love to hear them!
