Summer Lovin': Updating Outdoor Spaces

Well, that thing many of us have been waiting for is almost here. School is on its last few days and everyone is ready to be outside.

Here in the Midwest, we crave these early spring and summer days as we've been cooped up for way too long. My favorite mornings are when I can drink my coffee on the porch and breathe.

Part of why I love it is I feel like my house expands as my outdoor spaces become useable again. This year we made some fun changes to this our patio spaces that I had wanted to do for a long time!

First, we moved our farm table up into the inside porch and our seated area down below onto our open porch I love this set up so much more. We also added some drop cloth curtains using some gas pipe. (Both from Home Depot). This is really easy and fun way to dress up a porch (I will list out the supplies we use down below). I love the added privacy it gives me and a little break from the sun.

Finally, I took the time to really find some plants that I loved and made myself a potting garden. My favorite thing of all is this little pot from our friends at Pink Antler. My daughter gave it to me for Mother's Day. The pot itself was found in California and was from Italy in 1908. The patina is amazing!
